Coconut Raspberry Oatmeal

  • 1 serving cooked steel cut oatmeal
  • ½ banana sliced into bite size pieces
  • 10 rasberries
  • 2 tbsp coconut chips
  • ¼ cup almond granola or your favorite granola mix  I used Trader Joe's Almond Butter Granola


  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix.

It all started in the Summer of 2012…I was at a bar with my best friend, Sara. We started thinking that our senior year of college quickly approaching. We felt a need to graduate with some form of savings. Our quick solution was to create a cookbook.The concept came to us pretty quickly. I love photography and cooking and Sara loves to bake. While we love to be in the kitchen, college and studying gets in the way of making a gourmet meal every night. Developing easy recipes seemed right and we agreed that you can do a lot with 7 ingredients. The next day we realized that before we publish a cookbook we need a following. That’s when SevenBites was born. After 4+ years of working together, Sara decided to pursue other passions. (And yes, we are still friends!) I chose to continue the blog and maintain the original theme of creating dishes with 7 ingredients or less. I’ve expanded the brand by developing a website that embodies a lifestyle of having your cake and eating it too. I don’t believe you that need to be a pro to cook like one. On SevenBites, you’ll find tips and tricks to make your kitchen-life easier along with awesome food articles and product recommendations.
